Super excited about getting a new queen mattress. Honestly I have no idea how me and my man fit on a full for so long. I was looking at Ikea for a cheap bed fame and what do ya know, the cheapest style is just what I was looking for. Only $89.99 yay for me!
This dining room featured in Domino magazine is hands down the image that inspired my design style to this day. I've been looking for this image on the web and finally found it via Vintage Simple. I cannot say how much I love the look and feel of this space. I hope to one day have a home a simply beautiful as this.
I realized I haven't put up any pictures of the "office" area of our house. It still isn't quite what I want. I'd like to ditch the credenza in favor of something smaller and white, so the corner doesn't feel so crowded, and I need to get a cord organizer from Ikea. I did finally convince Justin to let me retire his roller chair. Thank god! Here are some pics of how it looked back when we first moved in.
OMG!!! Why have I never thought of putting caramel in a Rice Crispy treat before? You can order these little squares of magic here.
Can someone please tell me how I can make my lightbulb on a cord look as good as these do? I have literally been walking around the house for the past bagillion months trying to find the perfect place for it and still, nothing!
My new purse for biking! I couldn't afford those cute new purses from a.p.c so I headed over to SquaresVille and found this cute little thing for only $15. Yay for Justin, he doesn't have to carry all my stuff in his pockets anymore.
I saw these necklaces at Guild clothing boutique on Abbot Kinney. I was blown away by everything they carried especially these pieces by designer Arielle De Pinto. She literally weaves together delicate chain in an ombre pattern. With my brief experience making jewelry out of the same material I am amazed and have no idea how she does it.
I practically live in my 80s inspired sweatshirt crop top so naturally I fell in love with these pieces by Aiko.
For all you hippies out there wondering what to wear for your next trip out to Joshua Tree look no further Little Doe has arrived. They carry handmade headpieces and giant crystal necklaces galore. My pretty little model sister Ceara (top with blacked out eyebrows and third in black top) recently ran away for a weekend for the Little Doe '09 lookbook photo shoot. As far as a hippy dippy shoot goes its pretty...minus my sister's nips. Put those away young lady!
It's crazy hot why am I not at the beach? Seriously why am I still at home on the internet? Time to break out my Insight bikinis and one pieces! I am addicted to this company, they have such great quirky patterns and styles, and the fit is so flattering. I find myself buying three at a time (from their sample sales that is). You can find them here.
I went to visit my mom and we made the most delicious spinach, onion, and aged cheddar fritata with eggs fresh from my aunt Betsy's hens up in Malibu. The eggs were not only delicious but look at the colors and sizes. It makes me a little sad I don't have my chickens anymore.
For all these Japanese head over to Tortoise General Store in Venice. They carry a beautifully curated collection of Japanese imports from stationary to furniture. I have been dreaming of this Tendo Mushroom Stool for a long time now. One day it will be mine.
