One of my favorite shops we visited in San Francisco had to be Paxton Gate on Valencia. Walking in here is like going to a natural history museum, but you can buy pretty much everything you see. Oh and they even have a nursery in the back.
I'm back from a trip up the the the bay area and although it was super amazing, magical, and fantastic, I'm still glad to be home. So, without further ado I give you "Los Angeles I'm Yours."
I'm in love with the "bookshelf" pictured in the home of Jay Atherton and Cy Keener. I have all my books in neat stacks on the floor ever since my shelves decided to randomly fall off the wall, and I had gotten used to them being there but these simple slabs of wood give me inspiration for something just a touch less... sparse.
ps I'm off to San Francisco and Point Reyes for the holiday but I'll be sure to post lots of pics from our adventure when I get back!

Well I'll be!
I'm really honored to be listed on Remodelista's Design Newsstand, a list of noteworthy blogs categorized by genre that updates when bloggers do! I'm under Hispter & Minimalists. What a surprise!
Speaking of DIY I saw the bottom chandelier on Design*Sponge the other day and thought how awesome it would be to make something like that but a little less "stick-ish"...enter Spica by Iacoli & McAllister. Ohh and instead of the frosted white bulb using this bulb, heck yeah!
More floating bedside tables and adjustable wall lamps for Jenn from online magazine Pure Green.
I spotted this bulb over on re-nest and can't wait learn how to make a chandelier so I can use them!
I have an obsession with dishes, and with tea (I blame my mother for the dishes) so when I saw these awesome teacups with coasters that double as lids, they went to the top of my "things I don't need but want list." So did the bowls and the trays...
Everything this woman makes looks amazing! I especially want to try this poached salmon salad cause, well, I love me some salmon!
I saw this Mod 2097 chandelier in person the other day and I literally could not take my eyes off it. It's masculine and rigid, and feminine and flowy at the same time. Love!
Will someone please pass the spiced poached pears with warm chocolate sauce and vanilla bean ice cream? Thanks.
Reasons why Stella McCartney rocks:
1. She has tea parties with a falcons.
2. Teepees!
3. Need I say more?

This song has been stuck in my head for the past few weeks thanks in part to my man being a crazy Giants fan, and...we're heading back up there for Thanksgiving! I can almost taste those BBQ oysters out in Point Reyes. YUM!
